My earplugs left forgotten in their case in my room
My body is a prison, and it will also be my tomb

I used to drink on weekends but right now its Tuesday night
Not enjoying my time at this concert despite
How I wanted to go so bad, and I dragged my friends along
I don’t want them to know I’m down, and so I sing along

Is this real, this isn't right, is it all just in my head?
Did I wake up this morning on the wrong side of the bed?
Why does it feel like my heart is on the mend
Someone grab onto me I am hanging by a thread

My arms reach out to hold you in the dim fluorescent light
And will I send this risky text, of course you know I might
The band is playing so loud, I can't hear myself think
I buy a cup of poison, and my boat begins to sink

But is this real, this isn't right, is it all just in my head?

You know, it's okay to have an off day every once in a while
You don't need to beat yourself up over it
