By a Thread 03:26
My feet are aching, head is pounding my back can’t take much more Sweat is pouring from me, I wish they'd open up the door My earplugs left forgotten in their case in my room My body is a prison, and it will also be my tomb I used to drink on weekends but right now its Tuesday night Not enjoying my time at this concert despite How I wanted to go so bad, and I dragged my friends along I don’t want them to know I’m down, and so I sing along Is this real, this isn't right, is it all just in my head? Did I wake up this morning on the wrong side of the bed? Why does it feel like my heart is on the mend Someone grab onto me I am hanging by a thread My arms reach out to hold you in the dim fluorescent light And will I send this risky text, of course you know I might The band is playing so loud, I can't hear myself think I buy a cup of poison, and my boat begins to sink But is this real, this isn't right, is it all just in my head? Did I wake up this morning on the wrong side of the bed? Why does it feel like my heart is on the mend Someone grab onto me I am hanging by a thread You know, it's okay to have an off day every once in a while You don't need to beat yourself up over it Sometimes you feel down even when surrounded by the people you love the most If you need your space then take it, your friends aren't gonna hold it against you Everything isn't always easy, but you'll get through it You always do

In the Now 04:10
We build our paper houses, and these paper jobs are cheap But they give us that green paper, that we tend to hoard and keep The sweat rolls down our temples, balancing a house of cards But it lights on fire when the candle hits the floor We should spend our time how we want, cuz it’s the only thing we’ve got We should live our lives in the now, and not give it a second thought You've only got this one life, You can never live it again So go and spend your time how you want, before we reach the end They’ll tell you you are wrong, for walking down your own path And they'll try to make you follow, an ideal that never lasts But who knows better than you, what you need for you to feel complete These people don’t know how to see the truth We should spend our time how we want, cuz it’s the only thing we’ve got We should live our lives in the now, and not give it a second thought You've only got this one life, You can never live it again So go and spend your time how you want, before we reach the end You only live once, that’s the way I see it So grab your life by the horns, and take your seat in the cockpit Enjoy every moment, try and live with no regrets Cuz you’re the only one you’ve gotta prove yourself to And I want to be content And I want to live in the moment And I think that we're all different And it’s okay to live the life of which you’ve dreamt We should spend our time how we want, cuz it’s the only thing we’ve got We should live our lives in the now, and not give it a second thought You've only got this one life, You can never live it again So go and spend your time how you want, before we reach the end

Right/Wrong 04:49
Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of common words Always said with confidence, so smug and sure Everything’s a reference, fake profound and deep But these people resonate and regurgitate like sheep So hollow and empty, nothing’s really said But people base their lives on these words that they have read And wait for fate to come create the perfect fairy tale It’s almost as if destiny is on a bargain sale They say there’s no such thing as the right person at the wrong time They would just choose you, but is it such a crime? To want to slow down, to take a look deep down Find out who you really are, before going too far? You should shoot for the moon, even if you miss You'll land among the stars, isn't that just bliss Never mind the hard work, I have here your quick fix Just some simple solution, a sweet forbidden trick They say there’s no such thing as the right person at the wrong time They would just choose you, but is it such a crime? To want to slow down, to take a look deep down Find out who you really are, before going too far? Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down Slow down look deep down, slow down look deep down They say there’s no such thing as the right person at the wrong time They would just choose you, but is it such a crime? To want to slow down, to take a look deep down Find out who you really are, before going too far?

Love Song 04:45
On that rug in your best friend's apartment Your marks traced down my back, your breath in my lungs Floating on your cloud, every moment spent together I dreamed about the future, what we would become Frozen in that moment I thought we would last forever But there were things I should have said that I should've done It all turned cold on the 1st of November The frigid icy silence left me numb So tell me how do you write a love song How do you know the right words to say How can I tell you what my heart feels I've been trying every day I can hear the words but they won't come through I want to tell you I... In a trendy coffee shop in an alley off of main street The tapping of your foot looked like you would run And you never raised your gaze as you told me it was over I just could not believe that we were done So how the hell do I write a love song Is there a way that I can get you to stay I've gotta tell you what my heart feels I've been trying every day My heart screams the words, but they won't come through I need to tell you I... I never let you know what was on my mind I sat back and watched you go, as you left me behind You left me behind No I couldn't write you a love song Now I hope you're doing okay With your new life in a new town I hope you smile every day I've since found the words I couldn't say to you I never told you I loved you

Pizza Time 03:13
Beer pong on the table There’s King’s Cup on the floor Makeup in the upstairs bathroom We’re ready and out the door Lights are low and the music’s loud We stumble our way into the crowd The glasses pile up as our Bank accounts run dry My body’s feeling grounded but My head’s up in the sky I'm getting jostled side to side In a 40 dollar Uber ride Can’t wait till I get home I know exactly who I’ll phone Can’t wait till I get home I know exactly who I’ll phone

Don't wake me up, 5 more minutes please Thing are better here, within my dreams No CEOs, no cops, no one dying in the streets Please just let me sleep I just want to see a little positivity for a change It might sound strange but I want to feel something, feel like I'm more than nothing I want to feel my heart thumping Feel my blood pumping through my veins Like a colony of ants it digs its way inside my mind Negativity in everything I read online The only sweet relief Is in solidarity I just want to see a little positivity for a change It might sound strange but I want to feel something, feel like I'm more than nothing I want to feel my heart thumping Feel my blood pumping through my veins I just want to see a little positivity for a change It might sound strange but I want to feel something, feel like I'm more than nothing I want to feel my heart thumping Feel my blood pumping through my veins

Arc 05:48
A part of a circle on my left hand Try as I might, I can’t understand I keep on tracing it with my right thumb But I don’t even notice this work that I've done You’re standing above me, you’re ten feet tall I can’t get away, I've got nowhere to crawl You say it's my fault that this happened to you I didn’t teach you enough, or show you what to do I'm starting to think this isn't right I don't think these problems warrant the fight I want you to be more than alright In order to do that, we have to say goodbye The one thing you tell me that would make it alright Of course it's the one thing I cannot provide I gave you everything I had to give It wasn’t enough, and now you won’t forgive I'm starting to think this isn't right I don't think these problems warrant the fight I want you to be more than alright In order to do that, we have to say goodbye

Part of You 04:04
The absence of bad doesn’t mean it’s good But the way things have been going, we’ll take it Breaking our backs is better than the alternative Is there nothing we can do? It wont take much Just get in touch With the happy part of you Go ahead and dance if the music moves you You can sing or hum along to the tune Paint yourself a picture go take in a breathtaking view Just enjoy the things you like for you Came across a friend sketching in a notebook I mentioned that I thought it was pretty good Their eyes turned down, and they said “Oh, this is nothing, but thank you for not being rude" You don’t need to impress Or be the best To find that happy part of you Go ahead and dance if the music moves you You can sing or hum along to the tune Paint yourself a picture go take in a breathtaking view Just enjoy the things you like for you So go ahead and dance if the music moves you You can sing or hum along to the tune Paint yourself a picture go take in a breathtaking view Just enjoy the things you like for you Go ahead and dance if the music moves you You can sing or hum along to the tune Paint yourself a picture go take in a breathtaking view Just enjoy the things you like for you

A Way Out 05:50
The signs were all around But I was too blind to see The snow as it came down And now it’s smothering me People wander back and forth And go about their lives Seems like no one knows What it takes to survive This isn’t how I thought it’d be I don’t know if this is meant for me I don’t see a way out Cuz we’re adrift at sea, never to be free And I need a way out A way out, a way out I don’t see a way out A way out, a way out And I need a way out They fed us hopes and dreams All of our younger years To sell our souls for a meager fee Which we call careers They said if you work hard, you can have it all I’ve got nothing now Except my student debt, and this deep regret Keeping me pinned down This isn’t how I thought it’d be I don’t know if this is meant for me I don’t see a way out Cuz we’re adrift at sea, never to be free And I need a way out This isn't how I thought it'd be (The signs were all around) Boat begins to sink (All of our younger years) (Oh this is nothing) So go ahead and dance if the music moves you (Goodbye) Seems like no one knows I wanna tell you I (Feel my blood pumping through my veins) This isn't how I thought it'd be (Tell me how do you write a love song) They say there's no such thing (We stumble our way into the crowd) Hanging by a thread This isn't how I thought it'd be (Dance if the music moves you) (A little positivity) Before we reach The end

You can do what you dream People seem to get caught up in life and jobs and outside things Wanting things to be just so, living just like queens and kings well it's Not about who has the most of this or that at the day's end It's really how you ran the race, did you break, or could you bend? And you can do what you dream Yes you can do what you dream I try to dream of simple things when I let thoughts drift away Like healthy lives and happy hearts, if you have this then life's OK I dream about just spending time being with the ones I love Having fun and playing songs, and I thank the stars above that I can do what I dream yes I can do what I dream If you would only slow things down and realize what'd close at hand It's really all you dream about so hit the chord strike up the band And you can do what you dream Yes you can do what you dream
